Advice roughly speaking my parakeets?
I have 2 parakeets and the female won't let the mannish eat.When he tries she jumps down and pecks him in the herald.I gave him a seperate food cup and she won't let him eat out of that any.Why is she doing this?Do I need to get another cage?
I have 2 parakeets too. Mine never do this and I own both male and female. I think you should acquire a new cage before he starves to extermination! Have you had one parakeet for a while and then recently added a untried one? Cause in that case the first bird will act resembling that cause shes jealous that you got a hot bird. The way to solve that is to put them each contained by a seperate cage, and put the 2 cages up together. In a day or two they should be nice to eachother. Nice satisfactory to put them both in one cage.
The female is just person territorial. You can't stop this, so it's best to get another cage. The female could slaughter the male if she wanted to.
If you don't want your 'keets getting lonely contained by separate cages, just put the two cages right subsequent to eachother. Some cages even come with a removable divider- you can simply keep one bird on each side of the cage. Either passageway, you can have two happy healthy birds and not hold to deal with any social problems.
Answers: He's really done it this time, hasn't he? He probably stayed out too deferred last night and came drunk lying on it, and then he slept in and didn't fix the washing gadget like he promised. Women have very long memories, and I suppose it's best to separate them before she hurts him or starves him. But seriously, she is a female and is becoming hugely territorial. This won't stop, so they need separate cages.
