Are little one budgies required to enjoy leg-bands?
No. Breeders who belong to budgerigar clubs leg ring their birds, but it is not required for normal budgie breeding
It will alter state-to-state, but a majority of states do require them. And the rest will require them only if you plan on selling them.
Answers: depends on where you live...but normally no it is not required but it's not a bad entry to do either..it can be helpful in grip a bird gets lost ad the leg band will identify numbers on it..makes for chance of it getting returned alot better than a bird without a leg leash..plus it can be helpful if a bird is stolen that leg band near breeder name initials or aviary initials and ID numbers can be the only thing that proves it's your bird.
I looked it up and found nil much but I think it all varies by what state you are within.
