Bird beside 4 inch beak?
ok. i was downtown Atlanta this morning on a VERY busy street and i walked up on a bird sitting contained by the middle of the sidewalk. my first impression was an owl because it wasn't walking around like the pigeons and the body be more round and the markings were a lot prettier but it had at lowest possible a 4 inch straight slender beak like you might see in birds that look for food in mud.
individuals were walking around it and stepping over it but it was only when i touched it that it fleww stale a few yard and did what looked like a little mate dance before it settled back down.
what surrounded by the heck was it? i've lived here almost 50 years and have never see anything like it.
Answers: What colour was it? Did it look like a parrot/cockatoo? If it be white with blue and red markings on it it might long billed corella.
