There are several other things to consider when getting a pet. But I think that since you already have several you know just about providing them a home and food. One thing that comes to mind is time. Dividing your time between conservatory, house chores, extra-curricular activities, your other pets and of course "me" time is something that you would really have to seriously guess about. Birds will want your attention as much as your other pets.

Having thought about time management, you can very soon choose which bird do you like. There are several of them for sale in your fave petshop: choose any a lovebird or a cockatiel. Do understand that the more time you spend with the bird, the more loving and affectionate it gets. My wife and I enjoy 5 lovebirds and 1 cockatiel, we give them stuff that we create ourselves - inexpensive and the birds like it too. Getting your pet the coolest stuff is good but it will not compensate for time that you spend next to it.

No, they do not stink. They actually smell like the food they eat. What stinks are the poop - but is at hand animal whose poop is not foul smelling? Based on materials I have read, it says that most birds require at least 10 hrs of sleep a daylight.

Pairing up with another bird is not a problem( I believe you are talking of lovebirds), of course they will approaching each other better than you. Do not be afraid of them liking each other more, to be exact but natural. If you spend time with them both they will bond to you as well.
it seem like you only want a bird as something to worship you. you should not be concerned that it likes another bird better than you... that seem like insecurity and conceit to me! :)
Answers:    Any bird will be a bit nervous coming into a new domestic, but most are alright after a few days or a few weeks.

I think I might start out with a young, a moment ago weaned male cockatiel. Getting a young one gives you a better casual of training him and males are usually the better talkers and better singers.

With a large ample cage (18"x18"x24" at least) and some toys, they can usually entertain themselves while you are past its sell-by date.

Having two together, they often bond with themselves and might ignore you, so one for immediately is probably a better idea.

When you choose a cage, be sure that it will save your cats out & that the doors will stay secure if it gets tipped over...perchance even putting some catches on the doors so that can't come open accidentally.

You shouls always be your hands after petting or handling your cats sine their saliva carries a bacteria that can snuff some birds within 24 hours.

Hope this helps...good luck...

Ok. I contemplate you need an australian budgie. I have heaps and I trained one. He is so friendly and happy. We are great buddies! My budgie doesn't bite but to be honest he nibbles anything and nibbles me surrounded by a loving way (it never hurts). He loves to climb but budgies are small and prefers to sit on my finger. Budgies can learn to talk and be trained but they want time and patients. My budgies always chirp really loud when they see me or hear the door opening. About the cat thing, budgie resembling to be outside and like lots of Fresh air and sun. I hold a cat too and my birds are outside birds (I have an aviary so she can't get surrounded by and doesn't bother though I no she will take any chance!) . If you would like to hold them inside I say you should once a week (if not daily) when you clean the cage you should agree to the bird stay out side for a bit while you keep a close eye. One more thing is Budgies (well all birds) bond better whether they are kept singly. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I hope this help!
