Budgie other bites me in need any measurable rationale?
Every time I put my finger in the cage with my budgie and he hops onto my finger, he seem addicted to biting it. I'm used to it enough for the pain not to be particularly fruitless, but it seems like he isn't even doing it for a reason, that he a moment ago enjoys it. I was wondering why this is. Is it possibly a lack of physical stimulation for him? Although he have plenty of toys in the cage
That's what budgies do. They are cheeky chappies. I can't imagine the headache is that bad is it, they're only little aren't they?
My budgie does the same point. I always thought it was because she was a female- I've hear they can be a bit meaner- but maybe they're just trying to show that they love you? Through, sharp, annoying kisses? xD
Answers: I think he's grooming you and it's unpleasent because you don't own feathers. If he's allowed out of his cage, let him sit on your head and see whether he does it and it shouldn't hurt at all as you have hair :D
My 1st budgie be just grumpy and hated people and you couldn't even put your finger surrounded by the bars without him really biting you - as in grazing skin - but he loved to jazz!
Your budgie loves you and is just cleaning you like he would to another birdie
Well,my parakeet does the same point...it just means that they are playing with you nought to panic about...
