Budgies Wing Clipping?
Can i get my budgies wings clipped at the vets, or does it hold to be avian vets?

some vets dnt even know what wing clip means, so i granted to clip my budgies wings' on my own and turned out to be well...
i clip 6 feathers to make sure, might not be adequate to restrict their flight.
Any vet that will switch birds. Or you can do it yourself. Gently hold the bird and spread one wing. Clip the first 3-4 feathers (the longest ones) about halfway up the feather. Repeat for the other wing. Do not clip any feathers that are not fully formed as they will bleed.
Answers: As long as the vet has worked with birds beforehand it should be fine. I'd call ahead of time and ask so you don't waste a trip there.
