Can a breeder bird, take home a fitting pet?
When it is know longer wanted by the breeder.
of course..i used to hold a lovebird (It had a stroke and died)..and it was the cuutest thing ever!
It depends on the species and the individual bird. Many breeder birds can never be converted to pets. Some species like cockatiels can walk back and forth from breeder to pet with little problem but many species once you use them for breeding they are never going to be a suitable pet. The chance of the bird being able to become a pet increases a bit if it be handtamed and kept as as pet before it became a breeder but not by much
Answers: Sometimes it can. It can depend on a lot of things though. How much human contact it had is a enormously important thing to consider. If it was not handle much, it could be very hard to tame this bird. I enjoy seen ones that never took to anyone, and I have seen ones that general public worked hard with, and have become wonderful companions. Much of the time, it depends on how much time the spanking new owner is willing to spend with the bird to try to tame him. Sometimes, even though the soul works a lot with the bird and tries everything, the bird does not want to have anything to do near him. It's pretty much a gamble. If you don't mind having a bird contained by the house that you have to take care of adjectives the time, clean his cage, etc, and don't mind the certainty that this bird does not want anything to do with you...it's up to you. There is no guarantee that this bird can be tamed or trained, no matter how much effort you put into it. On the other paw, it may not take long before the bird loves you and looks forward to interacting with you. Just be primed for the fact that it may not happen. Please read my profile.
I'm sure it can, but it desires hand-taming rather than made to produce. It's still a bird after all
Probably, and usually NO. They enjoy been accustomed to being a breeder and not having human contact. Sorry, but after their breeding days are over, not a apt idea to try to tame it.
I judge so, you just have to be slow and take your time.
