Can a leg trimming be fitted to an full-size bird?

I have an adult pigeon who I'd like to put a trimming on.

Answers: If you got a closed band you'd have to lay down it large enough so that it would still slip past the ankle and over the stern toe, but still small enough to where it couldn't easily come fund off.
Not knowing what size to get can make this difficult, so its best to only just go with a split plastic band.
They're typically sold surrounded by strands of 10.
