Can budgies and bourkes mate?

We have had a female bourke parakeet for a couple of years, and she lays an egg or two more or less once a month. Recently, my brother's male budgie (the green kind that are about $15 at a pet store) moved into our house for the winter. Out of pure curiousity, can these two different breeds of parakeet mate and reproduce?
I don't think so. Their genus and species names are different, so it's especially unlikely. Here's some links for both.
Hi,
There is nothing physical to stop it but i have never heard of it occurring and it is highly unlikely for any birds to crossbreed.
Answers:    No, they cannot produce son. They are genetically too diverse.
