Can crows survive contained by the snow?

I see American Crows here in winter all the time, but in Georgia, it doesn't snow. The closing time it really "Snowed" was five or six years ago. Last year we just had slush.
Crows are scavengers and will verbs down in the snow and get what they can. In my neighborhood you always know a bad spell was coming when the crows started coming up to the house and getting dog food or even garbage. They in general stayed away from the houses. So unless it gets extremely bad and they can't verbs down under the snow they'll be OK. And I think they might hide food contained by tree hollows and things like that to be safe.
