Can i depart from me cockatiel alone for the weekend?

hi ok i technically don't have a cockatiel, yet but i really want to get one and my mom is considering getting me one but for one she have some doubts, like this question :P and my dad flat out doesn't want one at all, so i will have need of to convince him but that is another matter anyways ok to my question

would it be ok whether i left my bird at home like adjectives alone from like leaving staurday mid-day and coming back sunday hours of darkness, of course i would give him lots of food, and would get someone to check within and turn then lights on and off and night and morning, and i mull over ill leave the radio on low becuase i heard they close to a least a little amount of noise if not they think a predator is around or something... so would that be ok? of course i would give him alot of attention up to that time hand and after

any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!
no birds need LOTS of companionship. I think your irresponsible If your gonna get a bird knowing you will make tracks it alone for so long!

Edit: below I left a link in which it say "Cockatiels enjoy company and are easily distressed by loneliness. If you intend to buy a cockatiel pet, make certain that you will spend a lot of time with him/her or else buy two birds which can construct company to each other." http://www.petngarden.com/exotic/voucher...

I may get thumbs down but I believe in the hurry of research, please read about the pet you plan on caring for.

Another link contained by which if you scroll down you will see a question that says " I work adjectives day, should I get a Cockatiel?" the answerer says no that these birds are exceptionally dependent on companionship a radio or TV is not enough to keep a bird from being lonely. It is regularly recommended that if you will be gone for hours at a time getting 2 birds is the responsible thing to do.

these birds can live for 30 years please put allot of thought into weather you are up to that type of commitment. To me you sound similar to a child, I am not trying to be mean I just want to make certain your informed.
I've left mine for 2 days. I leave a dim light on for him & form sure he has plenty of food. The water bottle is a well-mannered idea since they do tend to make a mess of their water. If somone one is checking on him consequently everything will be fine. I would not leave him alone more then a week unless you know of somone that likes birds & is ready to spend some time talking to & playing with your bird.
Answers:    yes that would be okay, thats basically over one day. Make sure you have lots of marine for him, since birds yuck that up fast and enough food. if your bird tend to waste food or fling it all over the place you can get these treat sticks that hang up from the top of the cage (they come in dif. fruit flavors) and the bird can hang on them or the enclose to eat it. They love them. i have left my birds alone for longer later that and they were fine, we also put a bowl of water on the bottom of the cage for them. If you seize someone to check on the bird that is even better. Make sure you have have your bird for a long time and they are settled in before you decide to give up your job for a day, you dont want them to feel neglected. It also may be an akward change of rota so make sure they arent stressed out already when you leave.
accurate luck with your future bird, take upright care of him and make sure he eat his veggies!!
Yes, it's fine, just keep the water and food for a time bit seperated because they tend to throw their seeds in their water and construct it dirty...They only need to be fed once a week...They chomp through slowly
yes i think his is ok just take home sure he has enough of everything
Yes, that should be fine if it is no longer than that.
If you plan on doing that, It's better to give it a bigger shut within. This gives him more room to stretch, and it gives you more room to place toys. And teach it to drink from a hose down bottle (just rub the bottle on his beak ultill he starts to drink from it, once he learned that it has water surrounded by it, he'll automaticly start going to it for a drink).
Transportating birds?   Parakeet toy comfort plz?   Can budgies and bourkes mate?   How strong does a parakeet bite hurt on a degree of 1 to 100?
