Do any of you enjoy a pionus as a pet?
I'm thinking about getting another feathered friend, and I've heard that the pionus family is impressively friendly. Of course, I'm still doing research, but I'd like some opinions from pionus owners.
- Are they good ancestral birds?
- About how much work would one be?
- How big should ther cage be? I read that the minimum cage size is 24x24x24, but that seems really small.
- Are near any drawbacks to owning one?
- If there is one, which pionus would be best suited to a family with two children? They're 10 and 14 and own plently of experience with out current birds.
Answers: yes they are good birds but not for kids
if would be out of a 10 perhaps a 7 for how much work
i think you need a bigger cage thats to small
they are resembling macaws they tend to scream
well like i said previously they arent for kids if you get attached to the bird the bird thinks you as the owner and single you and if your kids want to touch it or something it wont like them i say since you enjoy kids all of you spend the exact same amount with the bird
I've herd plentifully about that kind of bird. every one seems to be thankful with it. If you don't decide to get it, i would recommend a impersonator.
