Does anybody know any areas surrounded by Alief that have birds to bird see?

i have to do a birding project for my school where i enjoy to take pictures of birds, so i need a specific area or park to look for birds and give somebody a lift pictures of them. i'm currently visiting someone in Alief Houston, Texas and i need to find bird watching areas contained by the area of Alief, so please help. i appreaciate it. :]

Answers:    The Alief area have several public parks. They should all have plenty of birds. Also, can you get to the Houston Zoo? Even whether you do not go in, Herman Park around the Zoo is awesome. The birds go in that for the free food in the animal habitats.
