Does anyone know how to comfort cure a sick lovebird?
He has symptoms of sleepiness, diarrhea, fluffed feathers and loss of appetite..Help
It sounds a bit serious. I would consult a veterinarian before things get worse. Mine had no problems until in the future, one of them keeled over. Take advantage of these early signs to get the bird treated since it's too late.
Get him to a vet- FAST. Birds do not show that they are sick until they own no other option. Check your home for fumes that may be hurting him-possible teflon frypans, or low levels of gas that affect him, but not you.
Answers: Step 1 - Get the SOONEST appointment you can with an avian veterinarian.
Step 2 - Keep him warm until the appointment. Here's a knit on how to put together a hospital cage:

This article is aimed towards finches, but it works ok for all small to medium sized parrot.
Placing a heating pad under the hospital pen is the most important key in the hospital shut within set up. Don't use newspaper / papertowels as the floor bedding because it can give birds sores on the bottom of their feet.
Allow him to rest and do your best to provoke him to drink water (he is loosing a lot of fluids in his droppings.)
hes right get him to a vet. try keeping him awake. dnt let him sleep cuz he might not get up up. GOOD LUCK
