Food for newborn African grey copier?

hi. My baby grey is 8 months old. I still handfeed her once a day. I mix powdered pellet with gerber baby food and nestum milkless baby food. Make it a paste/semi juice form and syringe feed her. Is it ok to give her this mix.? I read somewhere that too much of vitamins can be toxic to birds. But she seems to be enjoy only that. Wat should I do?and what is the way forward from here. What extra piece should I do for her to be healthy and happy??
really ought to ask a vet or breeder this because you are not feeding the bird correctly at all.
if she is enjoying what she is drinking it her eat it. She should be fine
Answers:    No. Mixing your own formula for baby parrot is very tedious, and I wouldn't worry too much roughly speaking TOO many vitamins, as not enough, in your mix. Plus, parrot needs certain probiotics, enzymes & vitamins that your mix might not be providing. The best thing you can do is to buy a pre-made formula.

The best pre-made formula for an African Grey is ZuPreem Embrace Plus:

That formula have the neccessary vitamins, minerals, etc. that your growing baby requires.
An 8 month older Grey is long past the age where it should be weaned. I assume that the bird does, in reality, eat on its own. In that case your hand-feeding it should not hurt the bird as long as he also eats a regular diet.
A Grey his age should be intake pellets, nuts, fresh fruits and veggies, as well as dried fruits and veggies.
Eating is a social activity beside birds, so he would love to eat with you. It makes a bird discern special when you give him "Your food!" Cooked pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, salad, bread, crackers, and cooked lean chicken, beef or pork will all be adored! Just bring in sure that you know what foods are harmful, such as chocolate, avocado, caffeine and alcohol. Do a search for toxic Parrot food. Also be aware that he may love meat but that too much protein can variety parrots aggressive, as well as the fact that portly and oil should be kept at a minimum . Sugar and salt are not healthy for him when given to excess, of late as they are not healthy for us when taken to excess. But as a special treat an occasional cookie or potato chip will not be harmful. The same applies to cheese. Dairy is hard for Parrots to digest, but they generally love a piece of cheese on special occasions.
My Quaker parrot loves soups! Warm soup with pasta , rice ,veggies and meat remind a parrot of those wonderful warm meals that be regurgitated by Mommy!! MMmmmm good!! Warm scrambled eggs( shells and all )are usually favorites too!

My proposal is to wean him off of the hand-feedings, and then invite him to dinner each dark! We feed our Quaker a small plate of our food each night at dinner, and he think he is king of the world!
As to the vitamins, it would be very hard to give him too lots vitamins unless you were adding liquid or powdered vitamins to his food. This will not be needed as long as he get plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

Good luck
Is it wierd to donate a bird a hip bath cockatiels?   Is my contemporary budgie neurotic or is this mundane?   Any concept on why my parakeet died?   Thinking just about getting a bird?
