How Can You Tell If You Have Fertile Tiel Eggs?

Hey,

We have a pair of cockatiels that just laid five eggs and two just this minute hatched. I'm not so sure about two of them, though. How can you recount if you have fertile cockatiel eggs OTHER than candling?

Also, they are turning gray in color. What does this be going to?
mackenzie,
candiling them!! if you see red viens that means its fertile! also there will be a small bubble!! hope i help

Other then candling you can update by the color of the egg ..
Pale opaque pink in either to impulsive in incubation ( before 7-10) or it is not fertile . Solid White is Fertile ( or has be fertile) Grey means that It is not DIS ( dead In shell ) .. Sometimes however they can still be fertile and about to hatch ...

Don't be worried to pick up the egg - Wear a pair of gloves and hold the egg to your ear can you hear taping or chirping then it is still viable whether not i am afraid that it was strong enough to hatch ...

If the eggs are 30 days old and still haven't hatch I would stay that they are no longer going to ...

Answers:    You have to candle them with a bright flashlight and look for a dark egg but a oil lamp colored air space and red veins near the surface. If near is no air space that means it is hatching and is in a minute up into it or that it is dead and rotting. If it has been 25 to 27 days since man laid, they are dead. Many times fertilized eggs die in shell
