How Long do Parakeets live?

My Bird I have had for a couple years and he has lost substance and i can't get him to eat. Whats wrong with him? Is he going to die?
If Budgies have the right diet and protection they can live up to 10 - 15 years :D

Are you sure yours isn't eating? Are there futile husk ( eaten seeds) on the food container .

How is he looking ? Is he fluffed does he have a pooy vent (yucky bum)
Parakeets can live up to 18 years and that is a world record. If you buy a parakeet it will probably live 10-14 years, but most parakeets only survive 4-6 years. Don't verbs those parakeets have not had good owners. If you ask the relations at the store they will tell you 10-14 just like I did. Just fashion sure to feed them fruits and vegetables so they stay healthy. They're excellent pets. They play next to you and comfort you. Just make sure you attain two parakeets because they usually die of lonelyness. I you have 6 hours every day, including week days, later get one. If you can't get two. Don't get three because sometime two of them start to mate and the other one feel left out. Chose the smallest birds at the store because they are the youngest.
Hope this helps!
They live up to 10-15 years.

and it also depends on what you nurture him and stuff.

this may help you.

hope this helps 10-15 years!!
i would reccomend you kiwi to the vet !
Answers:    Parakeets live on average 15 years, but they can live longer. It adjectives depends on how well they are taken care of.

I would separate the two parakeets, and have Kiwi taken to a vet ASAP.
Give Kiwi a few mixed veggies beside his normal food, and sprinkle it with a vitamin and mineral supplement. Get a calcium perch, and a sanitation perch for kiwi to sit on. You can get the calcium perch at a pet store, but you will hold to ask around for a sanitation perch.

Good Luck Kiwi!
wel here average life span is 10 to 15 years
What species of bird is this?   Why do pet birds surrounded by aviarys require nest boxes? ?   Is it seedy to separate a finch duet?   Is my cockatiel a manly or a feminine?
