I hold in recent times bought a unsullied cockatiel?
i have read of people really bonding with their birds and even though she will be a home pet, i wondered if anyone could give me some tips as to gain more of her confidence? Also, she seems to newly stay on the bottom of her cage and not move around much. I'm not sure if this is because she is still bright though. We bought her because we could not leave her at the store, she looked very forlorn and she stood in the support of her cage. Will this change as she grows used to us?
Thanks for any help surrounded by advance!!
Sorry about all the question, i am just really enthusiastic to bond with her!
Answers: Time and patience! She requests to get used to her new home and modern family. Keep being patient beside her and showing her you mean nothing but good things. As she see you give her food, water, and kind words, she'll heat up up to you. For her to get to 'love' you, this could take weeks. Just be patient and allow her to come to you at her descretion. Talk to her sweetly whenever you can, and lately be in the room with her while doing paper work, watching TV, anything. Leave her cage door open and offer her to come out on her own. Give her plenty of time and she'll thaw out up to you eventually. She is very confused and stressed right now, but you'll both be fine.
i hope you did not get a sick bird, please acquire it checked out by an avian vet, just to be sure it is ok
