If I get a Sun conure and a Blue Indian Ringneck at 3wks and 5wks of age. Hand rear them together...?
Would I be able to house them together in the one cage and would they carry along being together from such a young age?
I would say aloud Yes you could. They have probably already bonded with each other whether they've been together since you brought them home. Most birds at a young age will bond beside each other. They are companions for each other and would be lonely without respectively other.
I would be somewhat catious. Although the other poster is correct surrounded by saying that birds at a young age will tend to bond with respectively other, there is still the slight possibility of the birds fighting. Just maintain an eye out in case that every happens.
I've agreed birds that have been cage mate since they were babies. A Scarlet Macaw and a Blue Fronted Amazon shared an aviary or better yet, a Umbrella Cockatoo and a budgie shared a cage!
Answers: As with any animal, they should be okay mortal reared together from such a young age. They will probably become reliant on each other and you will never be capable of separate them. But, you also need to be careful. When either of them draw from into the breeding age, they may change their behavior. Just watch them closely for any changes within behavior. If they play-fight, using beak on beak only, that's okay. Just watch for one going for the others legs. That is a sign of aggression and needs to be stopped by separating them.
Great that you can go and get them both so they can become like clutch mates. They probably do not realize they are even different breeds.

Yes to all of your questions,however, youd have to survey their behavior at the time they become of breed age, so they don't pick on each other. Otherwise they will grow up best buddies.
