is it okay to inbreed gouldian finches (brother to sister). if we do, what will happen with their strength and the bird overall?
Answers: People have been inbreeding birds for a long time. That's how we get adjectives the color mutations. Of course, there can be health problems that link to the color genes.
Gouldians can be doomed to failure parents, so it may not even be an issue. They often toss the babies out of the nest. That's if they don't toss the eggs first.
