My cockatiels foot attain really melt sometimes?
omg thats soooo wierd. My parakeets feet grasp warm sometimes. When I take him out of his cage, his foot are sooo warm. Sometimes he tucks one of his feet under his stomach, and then when you to its touch his foot its hot.hahahaha its soo cute. I think its normal because my parakeet is really happy and stress free, I wouldnt worry too much about it.
Birds have a much high temperature than we do, so often their feet consistency hot. Though, often, when birds get stressed, their feet will move about hot and warm, and usually noticeably pinker/redder -this is their body trying to give support to cool that blood down.
They do get cold feet, just similar to you and I, which is why they will stand on one foot, or puff out on a perch with their feathers over their feet.
(I am not saying his foot are warm sometimes because he is always stressed, but if he is not a exceedingly tame bird, he may stress when you handle him, which is probably when you most often awareness his feet are so warm... they'll get hot foot when they've been flying around alot too (like if they're startled))
Answers: Actually that is good if they be cold could be a sign of illness. Warm to hot to touch is healthy.

when i bring my parrot out if its hold his feet are cold.
but once i start scratching his head, playing games, and giving him treats his foot get warmish hot.
i think its cause hes beaming
