My lovebird will not be nice to anyone but my dad, who is never domestic. ?

I want to play with my bird, but whenever I try to , he makes my bleed. How can I get him used to self pet again. When I first got him I played with him every night but later he starting getting so mean. Please help.

You probably got your bird when it be a baby. As birds mature they develop more personality and stronger preferences. Many parrot naturally prefer male or female humans, or they develop a nouns for one human, only. Lovebirds are not the most affectionate parrots, either. Many of them are expect. Chances are you have an uphill climb winning back your bird's affection.

Answers:    Id suggest possibly putting on some gloves and playing with him:) Also is your Dad the person who feeds him? If so, perhaps you try feeding him, food should win back his love! Honestly its going to take some time, but beside alot of effort and persistence I think he will grow to love you similar to he used to. Good luck, and I hope everything goes well. =)
