My parakeet is sick!! anyone know any specific treatments I can do?
Aw man I feel horrible. Ive only had my newborn parakeet for a month, although I think she's like 3or4 months old, n she's sick. I've be noticin sneezin, she sneezed til her lil nose bled n the vet is stil on closed on holiday schedule. Her feathers are all puffed up n she's havin a complicated time stayin on the perch. Idk wut to do? if anyone else has had a problem near there bird bein sick can u tell me wut to do or wut the treatment is? Please :-(
If your bird is sneezing blood then nearby is something wrong,you need to get to a vet a.s.a.p.
Keep it warm ,place a cover 1/2 route over the cage to help retain heat and try not to disturb it too much.
But win advice as soon as you can.
are there any other vet you could contact near you?
if not them i'd suggest keeping the bird contained by a temperature controlled environment, keep up its fluids, and of course impart him some food.
do not stress the bird by handing him too much, instead letting him have lots of rest is a good notion.
maybe you could call your local SPCA they may have an on-call vet who would supply you some advice, or the humane society.

Answers: Sorry love, but I don't think at hand is much you can do, except when the Vet gets back rob him. Maybe cleaning his cage would help, keeping him warm surrounded by a warm room, and making sure he has lots of fresh food and hose. (not just seed, some fruit and vegetables as well) If the Vet is still not back surrounded by a few days, take him into your local Pet Shop and they may be able to tell you what to do, or present him some medicine:) Good luck with your Budgie love:)
