My parakeet keep kicking his food out of his food bowl?
He'll go inside the food bowl and just s tart kicking his legs and the food would jump flying, out of the cage on the table and floor, idk why he does it??
he does it for fun.
Well im thinking they don't have a lot of toys to play beside so they do lil things which may anow us for entertaiment. My parakeet use to do teh same thing because that time i jus got it and didn't buy it any toys, but after a while ever when i got it toys i t become a habit for the bird. So i went out n bought a new food bowl which looks similar to a powl and u attach to teh side of the cage, this alows a small amount of food to be send out so no waste.
Answers: All parakeets, and most birds for that matter, enjoy scattering their food adjectives over the place. Birds are picky and dig for the stuff they prefer.
Fortunately for us, several products are made to help with the mess.

He is simply having fun- the sounds, the look of it falling- it's adjectives a game for him. Try putting in different toys, and get a core guard bowl. They sell them in most pet stores.
he is possibley looking for his favorites out of the mix so he is digging for them..adjectives birds do this, they throw their food and make a mess..you may also try and see what it is he is looking for and eating and try to find a seed mix that have alot of that in there...
Strange i know but my dog does the same thing with his food, hes looking for treats so it could be you bird is looking for somthing?
If he eats the remaining food, no worries apart from for the mess on the floor. Try a different blend of food.
I hold 4 parakeets and they do the same thing. They just chew over it's funny to watch clean it all up :(
Probably because it does'nt swallow good to him. try different types and brands and see if he likes it.
