My parrot foot is red. Why?
A couple weeks ago we gave him some red sweet pepper. That could be the reason but it wouldn't stay like that for over a week, would it?
Its blood.
its def not from the pepper. Im no avian vet, but i dont think its from the pepper. Most likely she/he probably has some sort of blood clot surrounded by her foot, causing it to change color, i suggest you transport her to your desiganted vet ASAP. the info you gave me is very hard to substructure an answer on, but from what i got, i think its a blood clot. I really hope everything works out, i love parrots too!
Answers: A parrot's sudden virus can be very frightening It's really difficult to know when a parrot is sick. They have restricted body language when they're in good vigour; when they are ill or injured, they hide any clues that would reveal to a predator that the parrot be less than whole. When you ask him/her to step out on your hand is their resistance? If so nickname your avian vet for further assistance. May just be an infection and you'll need anti-inflammatory drops. Good luck when you have to acquire these little drops to find a way into whatever small space you can find between those two huge beak-parts--you know, the ones with more psi than the tires on a motor. LOL.
I've never heard of red peppers causing that. Have you notice if he has been biting at his foot at adjectives? Or it could be an infection. If this persists take it to an Avian Vet.
is it a womanly parrot
if so she could be having a spell on it and it could of leeked onto her foot
