Unsure why budgie's cere is crumbling...?

Okay, so in the past few days I have notice that my budgie's cere is beginning to peel a little bit. I'm not really certain what's going on.

The cere is a purple-ish/blue color. My bird is pretty active and is actually trying to attack my keyboard as I am typing this! :P

Answers:    It is mundane if your budgie's cere is peeling a little but whether it peels alot then it could be the beginning of mites but otherwise it's majority.

Please recommend a honourable bird species for our existing lovebird?   Do Cockatiels dream or chirp while sleeping? ?   My cockatiels foot achieve really melt sometimes?   Will a chicken hen crow whether lower than distress?
