What is the best season to buy a duo of canaries?
Yeah I want to get a pair of canaries to bring life to my house, I hear there was a season where this birds bred more so nearby is more variety to pick from.
Depends on where you plan on keeping the birds and the weather in your part of the country. If you are within a milder climate then spring, summer but if you're in a cold climate consequently summer would be better. However, if the birds are going to be kept in a warm enviroment inside an apartment or domestic then any season would be good. These birds are adaptable and nice pets.
The best time to buy canaries is late summer. just make certain that they both have a split tail like a V shape, if they hold a fan tail then they are more likely to be babies that hasn't on the other hand gone through their first molt. A lot of canaries die when they're going through their first molt as it is Very stressful. They do this at around 9 month old so ask there age also, that way you know whether they know give or take a few them.
Answers: i think mid fall is better after adjectives they are molting in late summer in most cases
