What's wrong next to my parakeet?

I got him today from a breeder-he is 4 weeks old and totally tame.
He will sit on my hand and shoulder, his cere and eyes are clear, and feathers are fine. But, he does not chirp and doesn't move very much! His poop is sorta runny too. Should I take him to the vet?
4 weeks is too YOUNG TO BE SOLD!

His poo is watery - I bet they are a buoyant brown watery colour too ??
I agree with everything that Colette has said

Give him time to adjust to his new domestic. He is nervous and afraid yet. Takes about a week. Let him gain used to his new surrondings. I am sure he will start to sing and loosen up after is feeling at domestic. water poop can also be sign of stress. Just keep eye on him and give him awhile to adjust. If starts showing any signs of weakness then off to vet. Good luck and congrats on hew bird. :)
Answers:    I had a hand-fed parakeet and he did not move around very much. But that be because he was hand-fed and very tame.
Normal not hand-fed parakeets are generally very rowdy and bite a lot.

Also, if you merely got him today, he might be going through some stress.

So just skulk a few days for him to settle in, and I'm sure you'll get to know his opinion of yourself.

If his condition seems to worsen, then you should think give or take a few taking him to the vet.

Although, you should be careful because parakeets can get sick easily.

Just progress his water daily and food routinely. He should be fine.

(:

Keep a very close eye on your bird that he continues to eat and drink on his own. 4 weeks is VERY young for a bird to turn to its new home. If he's indeed weaned, he hasn't been for drastically long. At the first indication that he's not eating or drinking well (and not just playing beside his food), get him back to the breeder immediately. (I'm truly amazed that a breeder would distribute him home so young.)

Thats cmpletly normal. Wouldnt you be anxious if you were in a different envinorment you dont know? Thats how he feels. Scarred and volnerable. Dont fret, he will come around. It takes time.

His feces may be like that because of fresh foods you gave him.

You can take him to vet as a precaution and to make certain he is really jealthy.
I consider he is being a bit shy since you just got him. He should start chirping soon. My birds used to capture quiet when someone they didn't know would come into the room.
