When are babe-in-arms budgies all set to resign from the parents?
I am buying 2 baby budgies from someone. The guy contacted me today and said they are ready to go off the parents. They are only 3 weeks old, and im concerned that this is too early. He said they are ingestion regular bird seed and the millet sprays, and are staying away from the mother. He said they noticed another egg contained by the nest today, so he thinks the mother is ready for the babies to take off. What are your thoughts on this?? I want to make sure the babies are ready to come to me, in the past I buy them.
Yes it should be fine to pilfer them away as long as you take care of them properly and keep hold of them warm. I bought my birds hatched from artificial way at two weeks elderly.
Well I don't know how outmoded they should be but if you still buy them here's what you should do: when you get them put them in the round up and put seed in and watch them to see whether they eat, they might not straight away because they might be exited. If you don't see them eat adjectives day and night switch them for 2 other ones.
Hope this helps!
Answers: Around 6 weeks but it can depend on the babies themselves. Some baby budgies accept food from the parents until they are 8 - 10 weeks old. Make certain your baby budgies are eating and drinking by themselves and have full crops minus being fed by the parents. Just because the mother has laid more eggs doesn't indicate they are not still being fed by the parents. The male bird usually feeds the young after they leave the nest.
