When are the usual moulting season for budgies?

I know they do in the spring but noticed my budgie is moulting now. I thought it be spring and late summer/early autumn, so I'm surprised he's moulting this time of the year.

Answers:    Weather can bring on moults, if it was cool next suddenly hot or higher intake of animal proteins such as egg & chicken brings on moults. Extra daylight hours & rain can also bring on a moult.

There is no accurate specific moulting term as in spring only. If your budgie is moulting, then it channel nothing other than he's moulting now & specifically perfectly fine. When he doesn't moult for the year, that can be a problem.

My birds are currently moulting too.
