The best time to feed birds is November into the whole of Dec. Keep basically mixed birdseed in a feeder at all times.
The time coming up Nov-Dec is migratory time, so a lot of birds will be trying to get hold of food.

Answers: I feed all year round. Fill feeders surrounded by am and in pm as they like to eat at first light and right before dark. Wild bird seed is right so is thistle seed and Suet.
