Where can I find a hand on experience beside unrepressed birds resembling owls or hawks surrounded by Ohio?
I am trying to find a unique gift for a friend. They love birding and I thought a hands on experience would be a really cool offering.Maybe something along the lines of a keeper of the day program or just a close up hand on experience. I am also willing to travel to Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, or lower Michigan. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have great holiday.
Answers: You could talk next to wildlife rehabbers in your area and see if they would stipulation some help for a day or so. Many of them have masses birds of prey. Where I work we have Hawks, owls, falcons, pigeons, starlings, and many other birds. Usually volunteers are welcome. If not in attendance maybe call the zoo and see if they own any programs.
