Why did my impersonator leave behind absent? ?
this is not funny.. i really loved that parrot. whne i got home from university and heard the news i started crying and went over to see his fragile little body for an extra time.
how did he die?
we left him in his cage yesterday and he be fine but in the night it got cold... really cold and i don't know
Answers: Cold really doesn't hold anything to do with it at all. I live in WI and it is 10 degree out right now. The birds outside are all merely fine!
Unless you keep your bird in a 70 degree house and put him external for a below 0 night, the cold will not hurt them.
It is impossible for me to guess why your bird died. There are any number of reasons that birds die. They can catch colds and virus from people, they can have heart attacks and strokes, and it can just be their time to stir.
The only way to be certain is to own them necropsied by a vet (this is what you call an avian autopsy). Depending upon where you are located, this could cost between $30-$75.
Hope some of this helps you. I am terrifically sorry about your bird.
lack of oxygen to the brain. it's how every animal dies. maybe hypothermia? parrot are tropical. they aren't made to handle cold weather.
