Why do geese fly contained by a "V! formation?

Answers: Geese fly in this formation because it creates a slipstream whereby the geese toward the fund of the V are carried along so they do not exert as much energy. The geese take turns in flying at the frnot of the V. Without the use of this formation, migration would be extremely difficult and conceivably even impossible.
