Why do my zebra finch maintain scratch itself?

Not only does it scratch itself, it flaps it's wings hurriedly. They do not pluck out their feathers though. Is the scratching natural?
answer my press indian runners and their eggs
Your finches are scratching to either remove barb shafts (which is normal) or just because they have an itch. You shouldn't worry roughly it unless you see tiny insects crawling on them.

They're flapping their wings because they want to fly! Is their cage big enough? Remember, the bigger the coop, the happier your bird will be. Letting them out of their cage isn't very advisable, unless they're in a small sompletely bird-proofed room.
Answers:    the scratching is because the feathers grow within little silk tubes and when they scratch the tubes dissolve its either that or for cleaning purposes.
if he flaps he's wing it means hes either mad or requirements 2 fly.my birds do this all the time.
OOOH scratching itself Is because It's grooming/cleaning Itself and flapping It's wings swiftly means It want's to fly. Let It out of the cage when It flaps It's wings!
