Why do pigeons flip?they own a breed could roller or tumbler and they do equal but they don't drop as nippy?
they have a breed could [roller] and they flip or roll! down from the sky at very high speeds 20 to 40 foot down befor touching the ground.
Answers: The Turkish people have developed several breeds of pigeons that do what you describe. It is just something that someone see his birds do and they breed them to do it more. There are hundreds of different types of tumbling/spinning pigeons. Every different breed rolls or tumbles at different speeds.
I used to raised Macedonian Donek. They spread their wings out and spin like a pin rudder as it dives at great speeds to the ground in front of the loft. It is just a genetic trait that has be emphasized for hundreds of years.
