Why does my budgie sleep adjectives the time?
my budgie is about 5 yrs old and sleeps alot and is always cold,it requirements to sit on my neck and keep warm even when the heatings on ,it have been to the vets because it was losing weightiness ,
perchance you should turn the heating up even more or give him a different kind of food perchance if hes losing weight.. then he can gain mass and have more insulation.. at night put a towel over his cage.. ?

Pet birds are almost as susceptible to lung disease as citizens are. But at the same time, your bird may be suffering from a far worse disease..loneliness. Try and give it some more attention than normal and even nurture it from your hand. Contact is one of the most important needs of birds.
I would ask the vet again if i be you, sounds like it could have a cold
Maybe its playing hide and seek and is going by the dated wisdom "if I cant see them, they cant see me"
Answers: Any time a budgie sleeps alot, that usually means it has some type of infection. Get him checked out at the vet to find out for sure. Please keep him healthy and relaxed. Birds tend to hide their illnesses and die quickly. I've had budgies for 15 years and other take mine to the vet if they appear sick.
