Why doesn't my bird approaching the color purple?
We bought my bird colored food and he wouldn,t eat the purple peices. We then experimented and got him a purple toy. He wouldn't play near that either. If you can help I will be very indebted.

They are like that. You hold to find out what colors, shapes, and textures they like and dislike. Every bird will have different predilection.
I have a Conure that picks out certain colors of pellets and eat the rest, my African Grey does the same. Perhaps it is just colors that they are used to seeing, in other birds, or even toys. It is thoughtful of a pain especially if you money a lot for the pellets and they pick and chose.

Answers: Maybe he saw Barney on TV once and was just scarred from anything purple for natural life??
It's just a personal choice.
My ekkie hates the colour red but loves yellow & lime green.
