Why is my budgie other preening? and some of it's feathers are coming out.?

I don't know why but my budgie has been preening lately. And some of his feathers came out. Why is he doing that? I already know what preening is. But 2 feathers from the the tail (idk what its called) come off and like 1 came bad from the body. Should i be worried?
Answers:    Preening as often as he is is a sign of moulting. So is losing his feathers.

Budgies can moult lightly throughout the year in small unnoticeable amounts. They can also travel through very heavy moult about once a year.

Moulting is mundane & what happens is their old feathers fall out & are replaced by exotic pin feathers. They're very itchy & irritating to the bird so they do a great deal of preening to overcome the itchiness. The sheath (little pins) eventually come off near preening & even light massaging by you. These are left near blood feathers. a vein goes down the center of the new barb that is growing & retracts itself once the feather is fully grown. And there you own it, new feathers to replace the ones that've fallen out.

You can bathe or shower the budgie more regularly through this time of year too. It'll also help ease the itch of pin feathers & aid in preening.
No. Dont verbs unless you see bald spots. Birds lose many feathers.
