Why is my budgie only just sitting on the ground surrounded by his hold?

I feed him fresh fruit and seed everyday. clean his enclose all the time
it is summer is it because he is hot what can i do if he has an sickness to help him before i go to the vet

i run to school so i only see him in the morning and at hours of darkness he mostly does it at night is he tired he is still very young
if you find the answer is that he is lonley, just play with him for a bit, whether you dont have time for that either get him a small mirror, i findmy budgie is other preoccupied with her mirror. :3
The best thing you can do for your budgie is take him to the vet ASAP and find out what is wrong beside him. Lying down all the time is a sign of illness in birds. Please don't continue, because time is of the essence. Birds tend to hide their illnesses until it's too late.

A BUDGIE WILL NOT SLEEP ON THE FLOOR OF A CAGE!

You are doing a great job and looking after your pet very powerfully ..

When was the last time it was wormed?

A bird will fluff up and sit on the bottom of a coop / floor when it is sick -

Vet's checks ARE NOT EXPENSIVE .

He might be sick or have cancer...or he could be lonely. I would just take him to a vet for a check up.
Sometimes they sleep on the floor of the cage, and even under the dissertation.
if he is on his own he is probably unfolding you that he is lonely.
before you leave to school set out the radio on low or the tv.

but maybe if you don't have too much time for him perhaps you should get him a friend??

budgies are flock animals and are NOT happy sitting alone all light of day doing nothing.
so please do one of the above or your budgie will get very in low spirits and lonely.

good luck x
wats a budgie??
Answers:    How childlike? Can he feed on his own? If he hasn't been eating, he is probably too infantile to be away from his mum and is starving. If that is the armour you need to get him back to his mum so she can nurture him.

If he is fluffed up with his eyes shut, it's not good. There really isn't much that can be done for a sick budgie. They usually won't consent to on that they are ill until too late.

If he isn't fluffed up and his eyes are open and clear, he simply wan't to sit on the bottom of his cage.

If he isn't fluffed up but seems to be holding his wings absent from his body, he is hot and would probably like a shallow dish of water to have a hip bath in.
my birds are other on the bottom of their cage but if anything strange starts happening run him to a vet
