Why is my canary pooping surrounded by her dampen?
my little emma keeps pooping in her water (changed day by day.. along with food), i have 3 questions to ask u guys:
1/. her round up mate passed away, is the pooping because of stress?
2/. is it normal?
3/. what can i do to stop it?

Both my parrots do that. I heard that It's to keep their hold clean. You just have to contract with it
I would ask why her cage mate dye? Did her cage mate have diarrhea?
I am wondering whether this little bird has the same thing your other bird died from.
Also, is the bird only just pooping in her water, or does your bird have diarrhea? These are lately some things to consider. Do not get another bird until you find out what is wrong with this one.
Canaries are easily stressed and this could be due to the passing of the cagemate.
Use water holders with a cover so the poop will not fall contained by the water.
Take the greens away for a while. Keep your bird in a thaw out quiet area.

It not then no. My bird drinks or eats surrounded by his container then turns his butt right over it eating or licking his beak and craps right in it. He is a fine bird.
I like the gravity answer. Birds are not the most intelligent creatures in the world. I suspect whether you placed their food dish within 3" of the top of the cage they'd still use it for a bathroom. I don't think he's in poor health.
It's just gravity. I don't think your bird is doing it intentionally, just happen to be where his back end is facing. My bird does this adjectives the time, just make sure to relocate the water at least once a day. It's annoying but she/he may deduce it's a game. :)

Pooping is because of digestion problem and only digestion problems.
She needs to see the vets.
