Why is my parakeet's foot crumbling?
I just got a parakette for my daughters b-day. About 2 days later I realize that it's feet were peeling. Is it something I did or didn't do?
I've given it a hip bath twice and it is eating and drinking and it is doing great getting familair with all of us it doesn't bite or run absent when you stick your hand in the cage (we've simply had it for a little under a week) so adjectives around it seems happy and healthy. So why this problem?
I've looked through adjectives my books and checked on the net but can not find an answer to this.
sounds like scaly foot you need to get some invermectin 0.1% will; take it absent in no time, follow the instructions.

well i hold 3 cockatials and the same thing happened to them in that feet started peeling the problem with ours be the sticks were to rough for there feet.
so check the sticks and slide your finger across it a couple of times and whether your finger starts to sting or burn then you know the sticks are to rough for its feet

Hmm... im not an expert but it may be the perch u should get about 2 diffrent perch with diffrent textures soo hes feet wont acquire sores because i've read that when they stand on a perches with all alike textures they can develope sores.

Growing up. Parakeet molt at least thrice a year.
It may be the perches.
I propose buying some cheap perches at your local pet store.
The perches that came beside the cage are probably all wood you need a perch similar to this-
