Why my eclectus mimic singular negotiations while alone?

ive had my male ECLECTUS parrot CHICO for approx 5 months & he didnt speak a word & immediately he never stops talking! but only when he is alone...
i have to stand external the room & listen & smile as the sheer joy of him repeating words & phrases that ive tought him over the few months that ive had him! but id close to some 1 on 1 talking sessions.. he will make silly noise when im in the room but no words..
is there anything to help this or will he collaborate with me when he is ready & not before?
im afraid of him thinking that this is right & later he might stick to this routine...

Kim is right on! Eclectus close to to practice talking, which they do alone, and then when they figure they enjoy it right, they will talk in front of you.

Age will help him through this. And consequently you should have a bird that talks to you.
The reason he wait to talk when you are out of the room is this."Talking" for a bird is attention getting behavior. SO...when you leave the room, he usines his "talking" to lure you BACK into the room, where he requirements you. Once your back, he's happy, and has no call for to talk anymore.
Spend enough time with the bird and he will open to talk to you when you are in the room as well.
Answers:    Ekkies do not talk to learn a behaviour that it get your attention back.

"Closet Talkers" are very common contained by eclectus parrots & nothing to worry roughly speaking. It's their way of practice talking.

When they are learning to sermon they do take everything on board that you teach them & speak to them. Majority of them become closet talkers until they're a little more comfortable talking around you & anywhere surrounded by the house. This can also come with age. His continual closet talking is only the first step to you audible range his never ending talking. Give him a few months & he will be talking around & to you directly.

He will communicate to you, give him time. It won't make him think it's a routine & stick to it. It's a really normal & common behaviour contained by young ekkies & they grow out of it.

FYI: You can teach your ekkie to talk up until going on for 1 year old. After this they actually teach themselves. Once they realize this age they become a lot more observant, they will watch your every move & listen to your every word, even if you're not within the same room. They teach themselves more talking within this way. It's amazing what they pick up!!
