WHY would a finch pluck his/her own feathers out?[jeepers]?
stress.animals do crazy things and the 2 can suffer from depression and stress
Could be it's depressed, stressed out, or molting.
Also, occasionally when preening, loose feathers will come out, and make it seem as if the bird plucked them out itself.
Answers: are your finches breeding ? if they are then that is why they are plucking them they want them for the eggs . suitable luck .
