Will ant assassin breed a bird sick or die?
See i few of you have already seen my other question: Has my bird overate? Well i hold a parakeet and we changed his food to a different brand and all that and well im sure thats the problem so im asking this.

See my Male parakeet bird be out its cage playing around and flying in the house with my other Female bird, and economically outside the house theirs a screened area minus a pool with a ant killer thingy on the ground and well he doesnt appear himself his feathers are all sticking up (it never used to do that) hes not moving a lot and he hasnt talked since! hes crouched himself within the corner of the cage and is very gloomy not the bird i used to enjoy AT ALL!

Sounds like he is very sick, as birds generally will not show that they are sick until they are REALLY sick.

Oh no! PLEASE get him to an aviary vet ASAP. Sounds like he may own gotten into the ant poison- and YES, this will kill him! Again, f he is showing signs of weakness, this is a really bad piece! When they sit on the bottom of the cage, that is also a sign of a very sick bird.

Answers: Yes it can and will kill him if he has gotten into it. Grab the ant trap and the bird and sour to vet. Actually it sounds as if both birds need to go to vet possibly something else is going on here seeing as they have both been sick. Keep warm and stillness and get to vet.
