WILL MY COCKATIEL BIRDS SING TO ME?
Hi i have 2 cockatiel 1 a boy and 1 a girl. They are both living in the same pen. I was told that my birds wont be able to sing to me they would just consult in bird language because they will create a bond with in that partner is this true?. I really want my two birds to sing what should i do?
COCKATIEL will sing! I have a friend that have one and it sings the theme song from the andy griffith show!
Keep playing the same song over and over to the birds...they will learn it.
we have 3 tiels 2 boys 1 girl, the oldest be an adult when we got him and could whistle tunes and do wolf whistles. Our other mannish has learned to copy him and also now does tunes and wolf whistle. the female can also wolf whistle although not as loud as the boys.it's quite unusual to hold a whistling female.. sometimes i'll whistle to the boys and they copy me,, The youngest male have his own little "theme tune" he does and the older one copies him but in a Micky taking sort of road. they are so funny. My boys fave tune is "the adams family" and the Zelda tune, which is odd as many tiels seem to do those ones.
within the main females will screech not whistle and ours is like that apart from the odd tiny wolf whistle ..
none of my birds talk at all..
best you can do is tell to them then give a few whistles and see whether they respond it can take quite a while though and maybe they never will do it. don't expect your womanly to whistle as they rarely do but still talk to her
the female probably will never sing or chat much, but the male will. freshly give him time and he will whistle, chat, and sing.
play them rock music. a perfect song to start them off is michael jacksons rockin robin!
Answers: apparently only boy birds sing - I have zebra finches, (currently one of each). the lady simply beeps, but the wee mannie imitates my mobile phone. Give it time
