Will rust on a enclose hurt a bird?

If you re paint the cage be sure the paint is non toxic after it have dried.

Especially those nice shinny bells that birds love to play with!!
Over time they absorb enough metal to brand them sick and they will die if not treated .
yes. buy a different cage... repainting must be done very very accommodatingly if u decide to do it
Yupp, its toxic to them. Its better to just buy a new cage consequently painting IF its too rusted. You don't wanna chance the birds life for a simple mistake.
Answers: No it's not. I have a total of 7 birds in 5 cages external or the house (I live in Philippines where it's warm) They're all doing newly fine after 4 and 5 years.
It's definitely not good for them. I'd recommend getting a stainless steel cage that won't rust;

YES! Rust is completely very bad...if its lately a little you can repaint the cage with a bird not detrimental paint (after removing the rust first) otherwise toss it out!
