10 pts: how do i preserve my cats from destroying my christmas tree?

I have decorated my tree EXTREMELY well(I'm kind of specific in the region of these things - I put a lot of time and money into it), and I don't want them to destroy it. It is an artificial tree, and last year we tried using a dampen squirt bottle, and it didn't work. We have two cats.
I disgust to tell you this but a Christmas tree to a cat is like Disneyland is to a 7 year old boy or girl.

There is zilch you can do until you get rid of that tree. Please don't punish the cat for playing.
When you have cats, unless you put the tree in a closed past its sell-by date room, you can bet on them swatting the balls or even climbing it. I used to be anal about it but I found I couldn't keep them rotten and was ruining my Christmases by stressing over it. Now I just get a cheap tree, string on secure ornaments, and enjoy the antics. Loosen up and have a Merry Christmas. Here's my little Rocky enjoying the tree. He's already knock off a dozen ornaments and climbed halfway up! Fun!

Tying the tree to the wall or ceiling and putting bitter apple on the light cords is in the order of the best you can do. Use shatterproof ornaments without sharp edges.
Answers:    If last year you used a squirt bottle and it didn't work why did you waste adjectives this time decorating your tree "EXTREMELY" well (are you saying this or did someone else rate the tree?) knowing the cats will probably be attacking it?

To a cat a Christmas tree is deeply a huge assortment of cat toys hanging up for them. So the only thing you can do is somehow put the tree out of manage, in a room they can't access or don't have the tree at all. I own a tree and four cats and none of them touch the tree. So perhaps you need to spend more time playing with the cats so their attention and get-up-and-go will be diverted elsewhere.

If I'm not mistaken, Christmas is supposed to be about "Peace on earth and good will toward others" not "Aren't you impressed next to my foofy inanimate object?"
you cant's and stressing about will only form the holidays bad for everyone. I once had one of my cats climb all the instrument to the top, she knocked the whole tree over (it ended up one hilarious) Just have to deal with it, it's close to a playground for them
Well cats love to play place the tree somewhere they cant get it or dont let the cats int aht specific room
hope this help!
We place ours in a corner...that always help. Then we affix it to the wall and ceiling with fishing line. Most of our ornaments CLIP on instead of hang. They be "modified" with small alligator clips. They REALLY stay on!

But we do not have any really breakable ornaments either! Cats will still be cats!
HAhahahahahahahahah!

We haven't had a tree in 15 yeas due to cats. Unless you can hang it upside down from the ceiling, don't expect to keep hold of your cat out of it unless you can lock the room to keep them out.
even if there's no presents under the tree all the same, we put a bunch of boxes under there. it makes it harder for the cat to attain under and kinda discourages them to go under the tree.

accurate luck and hope i helped :)
Maybe you should get a cat scratcher to keep
it busy so it wont stir for the tree!
Hope you find a way!
U can out a cage around it or put it in a room with a door or not do a tree
or put a smell the cats dont similar to mabey
I just make it complicated for my cats to get to the tree. Last year I wrapped empty boxes until all the gifts be under the tree which helped keep them absent from it. If that doesn't work, scat-cat sprayers work really well. They are basically a can on compressed air that enjoy a motion sensor on top that sprays a burst of air when the cat gets within collection. They sell them at most pet stores.
I usually put something large underneath the tree because my dogs are afraid of it.
