1 year out-of-date vomiting Maine Coon?
My 1 year old Maine Coon vomited last night 3-4 times it be mostly liquid like and there be a fur ball in one of the times. Today she has be very listless and sleeping alot. One of her favorite things to do is go outside on her leash for a meander and today she didn't do anything but lay around. She is not eating either. I merely moved and I am unemployed as well... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Answers: First of all, it sounds approaching it could be a problem due to a hairball. I would try giving her something irresistable like tuna fish or her favorite canned food. If she won't eat that, I would be worried. Since she is a Maine Coon, her fur is prone to cause hairball problems. You should brush her regularly so she won't, and then give her hairball remedy. Its malt, usually fish flavored. It let the hair pass through instead of them throwing up. If she doesn't eat her favorite food you know shes really sick. I would find a opening to take her to the vet. I am unemployed to and just have my cat spayed for $20 at the Humane Society the other day. In this economy, a lot of the Animal Organizations are doing more to assistance people that can't afford the treatments. I am a little worried that the hairballs could have formed a blockage and that could be why she is sooo sick. I hope not, and hopefully she will clear up beside the hairball remedy treatment.
