3 month aged kitten looks close to she have worms but doctors read aloud no?

i recently adopted two 3 month old kittens..one have a fungus on her foot (not ring worm..still haven't found out what it is) and an upper respiratory infection..the other one seemed fine..a few days ago when i cleaning the litter box, the healthy one (sassy) goes to poop and i see white streaks surrounded by it..kind of like rice but a lil thinner and slighty longer..but not moving..so i took both of there stool sample to the vet and they said there was no worms..but now a moment ago this morning i see her again and there seems to be more white streaks but they don't move..its just resembling there..what could it be..should i be worried?

Answers:    It sounds like your kitten has tapeworm. The root your vet could not find any evidence of it in the stool sample is because what you are seeing is the egg sack of the tapeworm and when a vet runs a fecal sample they are looking for eggs surrounded by the stool. The tapeworm has its eggs encased in the sack that looks like a piece of rice and the eggs are not loose surrounded by the stool so they do not show up on the fecal. Tell your vet you saw what looked like rice grains and ask for Drontal if they put up for sale it. Drontal is a pill that you only need to give once and it should lift care of the problem. Over the counter dewormers are usually not very successful against tapeworms and can be dangerous for a kitten that young. Also, giving your kitten the dewormer will not hurt her if she surrounded by fact does not have worms, it is often a apposite idea to deworm your kittens anyways as most kittens and puppys are born with worms. And you should make certain that the kittens do not have fleas and if they do get them treated back treating the tapeworm because they can get tapeworm from injesting fleas. Hope all this helps.
